Fashion advice for your underpants!
You can tell a lot by a person by what they wear under their clothes. Now, now; don’t go thinking that I undress every man and woman that I see, or picture them in fanciful colours as just a flight of fancy or out of curiosity. It is from working years as a cashier in a clothing store. (This is a story of a friend that was a friend of a friend that was cousins to a friend of mine. Still following? It’s blonde logic.)
It was said that if a girl had black panties in their drawer, they wanted to have sex one day. No doubt when you wear them, you expect to be getting Sex. This was a cute little rumor and no doubt every woman, girl and their best friend went out and bought Black Panties. Hands up, ladies, I know you did it! I know I shamelessly did to.
Looking back I must admit, Black and I could be very sexy but there was so much more to add to your “under-wear-drobe” then just a nice matching pair of sexy panties that would only be torn off in a drunken haze or set aside in the back of your lonely drawer waiting to be used.
Hint: PANTIES ARE NOT ABOUT SEX
Take a guy, for example, and put him in a pair of frilly black boxes. It is funny as hell, and sure he probably will get laid for going through and showing you it but in the end it can be really damaging to a man’s ego unless he really is that comfortable with his sexuality or that really is his preference of dress. Ironically the same could be said for us women. Ugly panties can be damaging to our own self image. Hours of staring into the mirror is not going to change how those granny panties are going to look on you regardless of the shape of the mirror, the lighting or how you suck it in.
Recommendation: GO SHOPPING
The best thing about panties is that it’s purpose is purely to make YOU feel comfortable. If your panties –or boxers, briefs, etc. Let us stick with just the panties and save me the effort of typing it out time and again.– are uncomfortable, ripped or just down right ugly toss them. Not only are they unflattering but who would want to bend down knowing that with one look the world could see just exactly how you feel about yourself. Kick that old bucket habit and get shopping. Nothing feels better on your skin then newly purchased silk or cotton panties.
Perks: CHOICES
The greatest thing about panty shopping is that there is a little bit of everything for anyone. Men have their funny print boxers and women have various shapes and fabric just waiting to compliment your always perfect figure. Satin, leather, lace, silk, the options are endless!
Point of Topic: COLOUR
Colour can say a lot about an individual, but it can also be a self motivating speech for yourself. Lets look at a few examples;
The Traditional:
Black, White & Red – These are the three most often associated with being “Sexy”. Lingerie are most typically found in these colours and by wearing them it encourages a personal ‘Sexy-ness’. Other words that could be associated with these colours are: Power, Sensual, Alluring, Provocative and Sultry.
The Spring:
Light Pastels of Orange, Yellows and Pinks – These are ‘Young’ colours. Slip on a pair of light yellow panties with tiny pink bows and it’s like putting on a light spring day. When you look in the mirror try thinking light, airy type of words like Sunshine, Fresh, Clean, Breezy, Carefree and Happy.
The Royals:
Rich deep Purples, Greens and Blues – I call these the Royals for their rich, self indulging touch it gives to your image in the mirror. You are stepping out of the box and slipping on something outside of the Traditional and the Young and marking yourself an individual of your own. These are best described as Bold, Original, Sensational, Spunky, Feisty and Fun.
Sometimes what you but on underneath is more then just another layer of clothing. Your Panties are your ‘guilty pleasure’ without the guilt. So go ahead and spoil yourself. A little spring cleaning for the Fall sounds like a perfect way to spend the season.
